Wow, I can't describe how amazing BFD was. It was fucking awesome. The lineup was too sick, Steve Aoki killed it, I went ape shit. One of my favorite Djs was also there, Mike Relm! Now this guy is not only a Dj he is also a video Dj. What does that mean you ask?
Check it.
A whole day of intoxication, good music, and good people. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Thanks Tina!
I was looking through some old notebooks of mine from years ago, and I found something interesting. I found this quote that I wrote down.
You can't expect the world to treat you fairly because you are a good person, Its like expecting a bull not to attack you because you are a vegetarian.
How can such an awkward, jerky, non rhythmic, flip floppity, skippity, blundering, unrefined, unskillful, uncoordinated, ungraceful series of motion be considered dancing? Well, Southern California, has done it again. This whole jerkin thing has got me a little mind boggled. But at the same time, I have become a little intrigued. This new dance craze is sweeping over SoCal. Being called a jerk, is a compliment.
Apparently, jerkin is not just a dance, it is a way of life. These kids dress up like they're going to a retro 80's party on crack. From big gold chains, to huge non presreciptive glasses, to florescent colored pants. They call themselves jerks.
I am in the process of making my own jerkin video.
